q..

why it would require courage to recommend people to do good..?

it is never easy to give an advice to people.
its hard enough to do so with the one close to us..
thus, courage is what needed to push one to do good..

education

'Every child is born in original purity, it is his parents who make him a jew, a Christian or a Zoroastrian' {sahih al-Bukhari}

This is not an uncommon hadith. Yet each time one come across it, one is really2 grateful, thankful that one was born in a family who has taken islam as their faith. Although one would have to say, the way one family perceive the teaching of islam is almost diverging far from the real teaching by the beloved prophet s.a.w., yet its better than being born in a family whose among the musyrikin. For if one looked back at the seerah, at the stories of the prophets before muhammad s.a.w, it is not an easy task for them one to gain His hidayah to the true path.. and here one will never know if one was born in a family with faith other than islam, will one able to find the way back to the true path.

Referring back to the hadith, it clearly state the important of the parents job, duty in shaping their child to be a true muslim. Lookin back at our current global era, the modernization of the world with full of technologies are holding back working parents from focusing in developing their children back at home. If at the time of the prophets and sahabah, the women hold a great responsibility in the child that will form in the future. Yet, nowadays, the role as a mother is being neglected, and being passed on to the household keeper or nursery. And because of the unrestrained education the children get from the place they r in, it cause future problems to be develop and hard for the parents to surpressed it back, to reform their child back.

It is sort of like if you trained a child to hear a rhythm since he or she was born, and then when the child grows, it will like the harmony that resembles that song. And when being given a new rhythm, most will certainly reject it and put it aside.
This is just what the teaching of islam is to them. If at a very young age, the child are not being exposed to the teaching of islam, and latter when it is then being introduced to them the true teaching of it, they will most probably reject it for it does not goes with the flow and harmony in them.

Thus, juz to say the root of education is really2 important from the very beginning of the breath of the child to the world. Rarely and its difficult for them to be shaped latter. And knowing this fact, has really2 made me feel so-thankful to Allah.. Alhamdulillah..

Juz to share what i read from a book tittled "Islam at the Crossroads" by Muhammad Asad. And Education is a part of the topic being brought up by the author.
Sabda Rasulullah s.a.w.:
Iman mempunyai 60 lebih cabang. Malu adalah salah satu cabang iman. (Riwayat al-Bukhari).
